AGM DINNER AND DANCE 2012
The date for this will take place on Sat 18th Feb at The Gables Hotel Junction 14 on the M5. The A G M will be held in a theatre style room at 5 30 which will then follow with a 3 course sit down meal at 7 30. We have made it this time, as we need everyone there to sit down prompt, as they cannot be expected to keep meals hot waiting for everyone. The hotel reckon the meal will take 2 hours so we need to keep to time so we can mingle and have the disco to follow. The tickets are £20 each, cheques made payable to United Truckers. We have to give final numbers 2 weeks before so PLEASE PLEASE think about this now with the money as its a lot of trouble collecting money on the night. CLOSING DATE 4th Feburary 2012 for menu choices and money to be with Shirley. The accomodation is filling fast so if you want a room I advise you book soon no money to be paid till the night £65 a room with breakfast and the telephone number to ring direct is 01454 260502 and say you are with United Truckers as we have a cheaper rate for the night.
If anyone has anything to add to the Agenda could they let us know please.

Weston Hospice and Stallcombe House

Weston Hospicecare is a hospice situated in Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset. The Hospice cares for anyone who has a life-threatening illness. Weston Hospicecare provides a high standard of skilled medical and nursing care, both in the Hospice and at home. It was founded in October 1989 from a group of volunteers who felt that the town and the surrounding areas needed a local hospice opposed to having to travel to St Peter's in Bristol or St Margaret's in Taunton. Weston Hospicecare today boasts a wide range of services including a Day Hospice, Hospice at Home and a 10 bedded In-Patient Unit. The Hospice cares for around 600 people and their families each year.

Stallcombe House is a residential community for adults with learning disabilities in Woodbury. We provide a happy and safe work place with a holistic and organic approach to personal health and the living environment. Stallcombe House was founded in 1981 as a jointly funded project between the Health Authority and Social Services. The project was part of the nationwide programme to close long stay institutions and integrate the former patients into the wider community. Stallcombe House now operates as limited non-profit company with charitable status. The aims and objectives of Stallcombe House are to provide a rural setting in which each person is able to develop to the maximum of his/her ability, in their own time.
