Welcome to your club.
“The club is to be informal, relaxed and very friendly but at the same time professional.``
NASSA
Included in this month’s news is the paperwork for NASSA. This is a small show with car, Bikes, Vintage, Custom and lorries. It is held at a social club so drinks there are cheaper. Alan Nathan Sue and Sharon are so helpful and will do anything in their power to accommodate you. The show is very friendly and they have a brilliant night time entertainment a real chill out weekend. As they are members of the club we support them and they never fail to help in making it a lovely weekend.
OSWESTRY We will be parked in the same area as last year so we should all be able to park together. So let us know if you are coming so we can allow the space for you if you wish to park with us. Another nice friendly show and you expect nothing else from Neil & Russ. We overlook the main ring which is good as you can see it all from the stage of the trailer, and this year Matt the kangaroo kid is back so that should be fantastic. He is a true entertainer of the main ring and we go back many years.
DARLINGTON We will be attending this show with the trailer. We won’t be having trophies as we never do at the first time show. If its worth it and we attend the 2nd year then we introduce the trophies. Nice weekend off from judging which is a rarity in itself. We will be leaving the lorry and trailer at Stan Robinsons, Stafford and we can do 3 shows from there to cut down costs which will be great help.
PETERBOROUGH
we should be in the same spot. if you want a space kept for you by the trailer give Shirley a ring to let Tony know as he never has his mobile on which you all might have gathered by now.(Too modern for him you see Jungle drums are still the fashion for him)
Thanks to Mandy & Graham Miness, Sue & Simon Edworthy and Paul & Julie Banks for the cuddly toys they have donated which will be used for naming the teddy through out the year.
Also thanks to David CDC and Steve Smeltzer CDC Avonmouth for their raffle prizes.

PREMIER CLASS This seems to be working well now, going back 3 years seems to give enough in each class
Light commercial and American classes will be paid for by United Truckers the same as last year.
CHILDREN'S CONVOY 2009 It's with deep regret it was agreed at the meeting that we have to suspend this event for one year only and to be reviewed at the next A.G.M. we discussed it at great length and this decision was not taken lightly. With the economic climate, as it is peoples jobs not safe and many working on a 4 day week. How can we expect them to commit when they don’t even know if they will have a job in June? On the day we can’t let the children down many of them wouldn’t understand if their lorry couldn’t be there. Hannah will keep the convoy money raised from her calendars and hopefully if the economy looks rosier then we will come back bigger and better next year VERY SAD !!
Anyone who can help tow the trailer to any of the shows please let Shirley or Tony know. For 4 shows the trailer will stay in Staffordshire to save dragging it back each time to save on fuel.
Neil English from event management was made an honorary member like his partner Russ.
At Santa Pod the pram race will take place again and we require wheels for a new pram. It was also agreed that the raffle money this year and money we raise throughout the year go to the Neo -natal intensive care unit in Derriford Hospital, Plymouth. Jan & Graham have had twin grandsons in that ward for 10 months and although the boys are now home the ward is always desperate for money so that is why the charity for this year will be for the ward The organisers of NASSA show were at the A.G.M and Alan, Sue, Sharon and Nathan agreed that all raffle money raised from their show will also be donated to the same charity as United Truckers which was very kind of them thank you very much.
The raffle that night raised £180 for the charity thank you all for digging deep.
The meeting was then declared closed.
