CONVOY
As you all should know by now, but just to remind you that this year’s Children's Convoy has regrettable had to be cancelled. The decision was made at the AGM and was not taken lightly. We all decided that because of the economic climate, lack of lorries etc, we felt it would be unwise to continue and let children down on the day. We have only rested the event for one year and will be back next year when hopefully things will be looking much brighter.
BRANDS HATCH
Some lorries braved the cold weather and attended this event, It seems the weather on the Saturday was cold and wet but thankfully the Sunday was a fine day. Around 70 lorries went and United Truckers did well in the results for the truck show side.

Brian Burt for the truck racing came 5th & 6th in his races well done.
Steve Horne unfortunately didn't race at this meeting.
OSWESTRY
We will be parked in the same area as last year so we should all be able to park together. So let us know if you are coming so we can allow the space for you if you wish to park with us. Another nice friendly show and you expect nothing else from Neil & Russ. We overlook the main ring which is good as you can see it all from the stage of the trailer, and this year Matt the kangaroo kid is back so that should be fantastic. He is a true entertainer of the main ring and we go back many years.

We are covered for the rest as the lorry and trailer will stay in the Midlands for 4 shows after Oswestry. We have been very busy sprucing up the trailer painting, cleaning to start the season. so please come and visit us at the shows, that is what the trailer is designed for, if you don't use it we can't force you, but you miss out on tea coffee and a sit down to have a chat with anybody that is around.

The news sheets will be sent out every month from now until October and don't forget if you don't rejoin this is your last NEWS and your accident death insurance will have ceased from the 1st of April.

I am a member of United Truckers.
I train LGV drivers for a living. I can answer any questions on the driver CPC which is coming into force from September 2009. Briefly it means ALL drivers will need to obtain 35 hours training to be able to continue driving for a living.
