So we start a new year and hopefully with new hope. It's been a very tough 2009 for many and many companies not making it through to 2010. In this year we have already started to see diesel prices rising just to pile on the agony for many. Our thoughts go to all out there who are struggling to make a living and hope there will be an end in sight. As a club we had a good year in membership wise. The sponsorship we had didn’t waver from other years. I know it’s not big money but it’s even more valuable when times are hard. The shows gave a light relief for some, to meet up with old and new friends. The trailer ensures there is some where to sit and chill when you want to which is good so use it don't be shy or scared to come up. WE WONT EAT YOU WE PROMISE!!!!!!!!
AGM BUFFET AND DANCE
Saturday 27th Feb. 2010. We have gone back to the same venue as this year, The Battleborough Hotel, just off junction 22, M5.
The AGM will be at 5pm followed by a buffet and disco. The Disco will be the same guy as last year and the buffet will be the same, those who went last year will know there was so much food a lot got sent back so we will start the food coming out earlier then keep it rolling. We will hold a raffle which will go to a Charity of choice on the night of the AGM. Tickets will cost £18 each. The hotel has been taken over and they have upgraded many areas including the bedrooms, as we are regular customers of the hotel we have had the venue for nothing and the accommodation for the same price as last year. If you tell them when you book that you are with United Truckers you will get another 10% discount on the rooms.

2010 SHOWS
We could still do with a few sponsors for the shows trophies if anyone can afford it. Each class is around £50 each most are less than that even.
We could do with people to take the trailer to a few shows if possible Peterborough, Santa Pod and Uttoxeter. Most of the rest are covered.
PETERBOROUGH
The first show for the trailer will be at Peterborough and we hopefully will be in the area so if you want to park by the trailer on the stand can you let Shirley know a.s.a.p so we have a list to park at the end of the day. Your membership is due for renewal on 1st April so at Peterborough, to get judged, you need to have already joined or you need to do it at the show by Sunday lunchtime. We do the results for United Truckers on the Monday at this show at 11am so to be fair to the judges it’s a lot of running around otherwise.
CRICKET ST THOMAS
The next show is a small one at Cricket St Thomas forms available from Shirley if you wish to attend. It's a car bike and custom classic show with the main show being on the Sunday. A really good weekend with free access to the grounds and Animal Park, of Cricket St Thomas, for those entering vehicles.
OSWESTRY
Then it’s Oswestry for Neil & Russ (Events Development) we have the same site here and once again if you want to park with the trailer we have a list to make parking easier on the day.
Forms enclosed for this and Santa pod as you see a £5 discount exclusive for United Truckers members. Forms for N.A.S.S.A will be in the April Mag.
ASSEN
A reminder if you are thinking of going to Assen then book early as all hotels close to the circuit are fully booked as we found out long before Christmas. We are 6 3/4 miles away and nothing nearer
CHILDREN’S CONVOY
We hope to be able to run this again in 2010 our biggest problem just at the moment is trying to tie a date up with Longleat as they have a load of bookings in June so by the A.G.M we should have the details and your views whether we should hold it !!!!
Your next news will be mid March for April and in that news will be your membership forms for 2010-2011. To be covered on your life insurance for accident only you need to return it as soon as possible.
