DINNER & DANCE/AGM
After the AGM we had a good evening with a live group and a hot supper. We must thank Dave & Lo Cross for organising this brilliant evening as usual. Dave even drove the minibus to get us there from our accommodation to the venue. Thanks also to Casey Butler for his contribution to the band. Ian Course & Jo Pearce for the Raffle Prize of a weekend in London and well done Steve & Tina Rudd on winning this.
Thanks to Paul Power Truck for paying for the decorations, which were used to decorate the venue as the sponsor dropped out at the last moment.
Thanks also to Hannah & Natalie for raising a huge sum selling the raffle tickets.
The total raised will be announced at a later date when all the bills and invoices have been paid all money raised will go to the Hospice in Yeovil.

Some details are;
The premier Class will go back to 3 years of winners instead of 2 years.
It was agreed that the club would buy a new gas boiler for the trailer.
Also as the trailer was considered the hub of the Club it was agreed that the Club would help with the cost.
The new elected Committee details are enclosed.
Unfortunately between the hours of 11pm and 12midnight a picture was stolen from the Quicksilver, Yeovil anyone with any information regarding this theft please contact Dave Cross on 07826557002
MEMBERSHIP
Your membership is now due for renewal, your membership form is at the back of this news. You will get the May News but your insurance is void on the 31st March so ensure you renew prior to this date. The price is still £20 for the year;
with a £5,000 Accidental Death Insurance it really is good value.

PETERBOROUGH
This will be our first show for the year and there we will be having a raffle to name a cuddly toy, £1 a square with different boys names in each square. All proceeds will pay for a new gas water boiler for the trailer. As we don’t have the electric on much it will be much more useful to have a gas one and the other one has seen better days. All presentations of trophies will be 11am on the MONDAY. Please do not be late to stop people hanging around so Marshfield time that is 10.30am okay?
Oswestry, Cricket St Thomas and Detling will also be 11am on the Sunday for the presentations. Ed.
CRICKET ST THOMAS
We are looking for lorries for an event in May (10th – 11th May) run by Blue Ridge Runners. Those who went last year really enjoyed it. It will be the same format as BIBIC just a different venue. The Blue Ridge Runners now organise two events a year for charity so good on them.
CASTLE CARY RUGBY CLUB
Buzz Mark Parsons is organising on behalf of his Club a one-day show. It will be on Saturday 24th May and will be a bike and custom show; they would like 10 lorries there. The trailer will be there. It’s a one-day and overnighter with a band during the day and in the evening. Stay overnight and then leave the following morning anyone interested contact Mark on 07966255996
DETLING
We have introduced a removal class as we have about four companies in that area who are all members and about 20 lorries but it will only apply at Detling
CHILDRENS CONVOY
This has been booked for Saturday 7th June 2008 returning to Longleat. We are limited to 55 trucks, which is about right for us. We have had to have some limitations though, no air horns and carers to pay for their own rides etc. It seems there was some confusion last time therefore letters stating no air horns or Safari will be given to each Driver and each Carer will be given a letter advising that they have to pay for their own rides.
This is unfortunate but we have to follow Longleat’s instructions as this is the most ideal place and by far the most central and safest.

All lorries will need to be at Warminster Services for 1am. Book your lorries in early as numbers are limited remember it will be first come first served.
APPEALS
NUMBER 1
We need sets of pram wheels (Not buggies) to make prams for the Numpty’s to use at Santa Pod weekend. They are having a pram race for charity up the side strip on the racetrack. We are sure someone will be able to find us some!
NUMBER 2
We need help to tow the trailer to some shows if you can help us please let Shirley know (Shepton, BIBIC, Detling and Cricket St Thomas are covered) but any of the others PLEASE HELP
