Charity
A discussion over the Children's Convoy was then held. We really need to do one this year due to last year being cancelled. After doing some ground work before hand there is not an available date at Longleat unless we could hold it on a Sunday which is not good for those who go away on a Sunday. After speaking to Andover I think they are going to do their own for this year. We have arranged a convoy to go to Crealy Park at Exeter. We are going to start at Taunton and all are welcome to join the convoy from there. If the Frome and Radstock area can join us then we will arrange your children from up there as normal. The date will be SATURDAY 12th JUNE 2O10 Leaving Taunton at 10am and leaving Crealy at 4pm.
For Taunton area names to Ian Course (TIGGER) 07815811179 please asap so Bev Moore can organise the children
For Radstock & Frome Area Dave Cross 07826557002 or
Mike Curtis 07973303001.
Crealy are going to give us free entry to the park which we are most grateful for. All children to provide their own meals etc and we will get goody bags sorted.
We will be trying to do a pram race again at Santa Pod to raise money for our chosen charities for this year.
The floor were then asked if anyone knew of sponsors for classes mainly Uttoxeter.
The charities for this year, two that were put forward were Weston Hospice and Stallcombe at Woodbury where Josh Moore lives it was agreed to share the money between the both.
NASSA Alan & Sue Walker asked that all their raffle profit go to Stallcombe, thanks very much to you both.
Any Other Business
Hannah Course explained she has £600 in an account for the children's convoy with selling the calendars. She has ordered T-Shirts with screen print advertising United Truckers and on the back children's convoy 2010. She did state that there will be no calendars next year as she is at university and hasn't the time. So if anyone feels they can do the job let us know.
Jim Bennett donated £60 which he collected at his 60th birthday party.
Mike Curtis gave us £30 cash for BIBIC from J F Pearse lorry drivers from their Christmas skittles so thank you all.
